According to USA today, there was a dispute over a basketball game that led to two men on board an elevated train to be shot. The dispute was between the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers game. After the 76ers’ lost to the Bulls, a Bulls fan was quarreling with two younger males before he was shot. The shooting occurred when the man exited the train at 46th Street in West Philadelphia. The second man who was shot was a man that was trying to calm down the individuals who were fighting. Both men were taken to the hospital for minor wounds and are expected to make full recoveries. Police have not caught the suspects in question. The Bulls released an official statement about how they’re saddened to hear the news of the dispute  and shooting.

The Denver Post reported an accident where an RTD Bus hit a pedestrian. The bus that hit him was the 15 Limited and was turning left from southbound Broadway onto East Colfax Ave. The eyewitness said that he was an arm’s reach away from the man when the accident happened. The witness said that the man had waited for a car in front of the bus to pass, then he stepped out in front of the on coming RTD Bus. The witness insisted that the pedestrian stepped out in front of the bus on purpose. The driver of the bus was shocked but not injured. The man was rushed to a hospital but no other details about his injuries have been released.

An accident in Boulder County on Sunday killed a 52-year-old husband and father, Greg Thorne, and left his wife and daughter injured. The Denver Post reports that the crash occurred on 119th Street near Colorado Highway 7. A vehicle heading northbound “crossed over the center line and collided” with Thorne’s vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle was injured but her present condition as well as the condition of Thorne’s wife and daughter are unknown. The accident remains under investigation.
