It is no secret that motorcycle riding is far more dangerous than riding in a car. Motorcycle riders have very little to protect them from other vehicles and the road other than their clothes, and sometimes a helmet and leather riding gear. Colorado law does not require motorcycle riders to wear a motorcycle helmet, though motorcycle survival rates are higher when the rider is wearing a helmet.
